Inspiration
The core inspiration behind "Your Lying!" comes from the classic card game Cheat. A game I loved growing up for its mix of strategy, bluffing, and chaos. I wanted to capture that same thrill of deception and raise the stakes with a deadly twist, blending it with Russian Roulette mechanics to create something bold, fresh, and unforgettable.
What it does
"Your Lying!" is a round-based social deception card game with Russian Roulette elements. Each round ramps up the tension as players draw or bluff. It's about reading people, risking it all, and knowing when to lie... or when to pull the trigger.
How we built it
This project was crafted using TypeScript for the game logic, Blender for the 3D model editing, and GIMP and Adobe Illustrator for most custom textures and visual assets.
Challenges we ran into
Creating my own inventory, store, and achievements system had it's own challenges.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I'm proud of creating my own custom ecosystem within Horizon Worlds. This will be the base for all my future projects on the platform.
What we learned
That a progression/reward system is very important to keeping a players engaged and active in your community.
What's next for You're Lying!
I will continue on elevating the world. I will add more content to the store and even adding season passes and quests for seasonal content to keep the game fresh and alive.
