Inspiration
Communication point between Haj Admins or Ministry of Haj and Pilgrims.
What it does
- Pilgrim will receive messages in his language.
- The message can be text or voice.
- As the haj processes is a time based, the app can be predefined with messages and will be locally pushed to the users.
- The application will not depend on using internet connection.
- Pilgrims can also open a camera to scan signs on the street and to be translated by the pilgrim’s device language.
- The application will be compatible with smartphones and non-smart phones.
How we built it
- We built a client android application and admin control web portal using bootstrap.
- We used Firebase as a cloud messaging server, analytics, database, and storage.
- We built it in just 30 hours.
Challenges we ran into
