A few weeks in, here's what's landed.
Wordy Bunch went live on r/WordyBunch for the hackathon, and the big recent push has turned it from a solo daily puzzle into something the whole community plays together.
The community layer (newest, v0.0.49.81). Word Census shows how many of the day's words the subreddit has found between everyone. Best Finds Ballot lets players vote for the day's favourite word, and the winner earns a Crowd Favourite title. Battle Duels let you challenge another redditor to the same grid, with the result shown as a one-line "u/A vs u/B" and a replay. It all runs in-app, so the community features don't spam the subreddit.
Beat the Editor. A daily house rival to play against, so even a quiet board has a score to chase. Streak Shields. Miss a day and a shield covers you once a month, so a good streak survives the odd slip. Sandbox Mastery. After your timed run, keep completing any board privately for the satisfaction of it.
Leaderboards that actually count. Daily, weekly, monthly and all-time, all scored on the server so nobody can fudge their points. Your first run of the day is the one that ranks, and after that you can replay for practice. Streaks, plus 37 earnable titles to work through. Sound and polish. Music, voice cues, and a scramble in the final ten seconds to make the clock feel real. Mobile tracing got a lot of attention too. Word of the day, plus a monthly leaderboard tab. Still plenty on the list.
