Wink finds mutual free time, suggests personalised activities and places, and schedules for you. Swipe to approve or decline; a shared plan is instantly added to both calendars.

Wink was born from the spirit of "Movember" and its message about men’s mental health and the silent epidemic of loneliness. We realised that most of us want to make plans, but life, schedules and invisible barriers get in the way. Wink makes it effortless to see when friends are free, discover things you can enjoy together, and turn good intentions into real moments. It’s a small push—a wink—that helps people connect more often and with less friction.

Our app loads your Google Calendar, suggesting events around you at your available times, including a match-based option to make plans with the registered friends you add. Our web app was built using Lovable.dev and multiple Google, location-based and Perplexity APIs.

Some of the challenges we ran into include difficulty incorporating Google services onto the website and UI changes. However, given that, we are proud that we have tailored one-time event suggestions around the user's live location.

We have learnt valuable lessons as well, such as the ways to use multiple APIs for our plan-making app, the impact of loneliness on mental health, and how to use Lovable.dev to develop web apps.
