What inspired us is how crash detection is only available high end cars or expensive devices such as the iPhone 14, we believe that we can change that.

The Whistle can automatically detect an accident and send an emergency signal for first responders to find you. The entire process is automated and takes milliseconds.

We built the product based on the Lora Module that is able to send info to the internet over long distances and a radius of 10km. We plan to build our own network that covers the entirety of North America.

The main challenge that we ran to is the ability to send an SOS signal from an online server to the telephone line of 911. Currently, no city has an online emergency contact that's why we had to find another solution. We decided to partner with Bandwidth to allow us to use their API. Their API is specially designed to send a 911 call to request aid.

We learned many different concepts in communication and data management that allowed us to come up and manage this idea.

The next step is to expand our Lora network to provide coverage to a large area.
