Inspiration
Travel planning today is fragmented and inefficient. Travellers often depend on multiple disconnected apps for booking, budgeting, navigation, and discovering places, which makes trip planning confusing and time-consuming.
Many users struggle with poor budget control, as it is difficult to estimate, track, and visualize travel expenses during a trip. At the same time, most travel platforms offer generic recommendations that are not tailored to a traveller’s budget, interests, or travel context.
Travellers also face safety and accessibility challenges, especially in unfamiliar locations where finding nearby essentials such as hospitals, pharmacies, ATMs, or restrooms during emergencies can be difficult.
There is also limited cultural engagement, where travellers visit destinations without meaningful interaction with heritage, local stories, or authentic experiences. Local artisans and small businesses often lack digital visibility, reducing opportunities for them to benefit from tourism.
From a broader perspective, eco-tourism and sustainability are not well supported, leading to overcrowding at popular destinations and limited awareness of eco-sensitive areas. Additionally, tourism authorities lack unified tourism intelligence and data insights to support better planning and sustainable tourism management.
These challenges inspired us to build Wayora – Your smart travel companion that unifies trip planning, budgeting, cultural exploration, sustainability insights, and emergency assistance in one platform.
