Inspiration came form
Getting bored at home during this lockdown made me realize that my social interaction with people has almost ended and I need to do something to come back on the right path of interaction and staying fit.
What it does
"SAFEWALKS" the title itself is saying that You can get a companion on the way to work/ office/ home/ any destination if you are going by walking.
How I built it
I created a simple mobile application integrating Google Forms to reach the consumer and discord application for connecting as a text exchange platform.
Challenges I ran into
Every time a new Google Form is created & a new space datasheet is prepared to store a single new entry which was creating the issue for storage.
Accomplishments that I am proud of
It can provide a sense of security to people that they are not alone. Someone else is also going to the same place so we can just go together so that it will be amazing to know others and interact with new people instead of just keeping yourself surrounded by your thoughts (overthinking). This Application will help people to be more social and increase their capability of interaction with others.
What's next for SAFEWALKS
I am planning to complete this application and create a user interface for the chatting purpose and also to add feature such as Realtime location sharing.
