The inspiration for Wagonbound comes from one of my favorite childhood games, The Oregon Trail. I still remember sitting in front of a black-and-green computer screen, making difficult decisions about supplies, river crossings, and survival. What made the game memorable wasn't the graphics—it was the feeling that every choice mattered.
Over the years, technology has evolved dramatically, creating opportunities for richer storytelling, deeper gameplay systems, and more engaging visual experiences. Wagonbound is my attempt to capture the spirit of that classic journey while introducing it to a new generation of players.
I wanted to create a game that combines exploration, resource management, and meaningful decision-making with modern mobile design and a warm storybook visual style. At its core, Wagonbound is about facing uncertainty, adapting to challenges, and living with the consequences of your choices. Every journey becomes a unique story shaped by the player.
My goal is to recreate the excitement, tension, and sense of adventure I experienced as a child while building a fresh frontier survival experience for today's players.
