Inspiration
Voronoi Domination grew from a passion for game design, nature’s Voronoi patterns, and the strategic possibilities of physics, mathematics, and geometry.
What it does
It is a real-time mobile strategy game where players move Seeds, reshape Voronoi territories, manage Energy and resources, and push or pull rivals to control the arena.
How I built it
I developed a complete pre-production package through gameplay system design, mathematical modeling, mobile UI exploration, player journey mapping, visual prototyping, and phased production planning.
Challenges I ran into
The main challenge was turning dynamic geometry and physics into gameplay that feels deep, readable, balanced, and intuitive on a mobile screen.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I created an original strategy system where movement directly redraws the battlefield, while territory, economy, physics, adjacency, and player decisions remain tightly connected.
What I learned
I gained a much deeper understanding of the complete game design workflow, including concept development, system design, player experience mapping, visual direction, MVP scoping, testing, and production planning.
What's next for Voronoi Domination
Next, I plan to build and test a focused duel MVP, validate the core movement, force, territory, and economy loops, and later expand into additional modes, Seed types, social systems, and arenas.
