Ever have that awkward stomach rumbling during class? How about a busy schedule allowing for minimal passing time? I have experienced these conditions almost every day, and I'm not alone; many RIT engineers find that they have less and less time each semester between classes, meaning they have fewer opportunities to grab a bite to eat. However, there is a solution to this widespread issue! RIT's vast collection of over 100 vending machines manage to nourish hundreds of engineers on a daily basis. Unfortunately some machines can be difficult to find, and with some schedules allowing only ten minutes between classes, students have no time to waste. Thus, we have developed our own solution to this issue: a vending machine locator. This innovative app uses location data and the internal magnetometer of the device to direct students to the nearest machine; effectively sating their hunger, and allowing them to continue their everlasting pursuit of academic success.
