UniFind

Inspiration

As High school students ourselves, the college search was really hard and time-consuming and we feel like sometimes we couldn't either figure out how much a college is gonna cost us or lose out on some hidden gems because of the lack of knowledge thus we made UniFind.

What it does

UniFind has a chatbot that lets users talk to a chatbot to help find majors, colleges, and other such financial aids. Our website focuses on breaking down the cost of college year-by-year based on your current salary and savings. Provides affordable residential places near your designated college campus.

How we built it

Data comes from collegescorecard.ed.gov api, the interactive map comes with OpenStreetMap, geoapify, and Rentcast, and the AI model was made with ChatGPT because we both didn't have GPUs. On our front-end side of the project, we used JavaScript, HTML, and Bootstrap.

The way the website looks and the way it flows, along with seamless and fast integration of our APIs.

What's next for UniFind

Train the AI model on our data and add a scholarship search option page that finds specific scholarship opportunities for colleges in your field of interest.
