You know the game Geoguessr? Well, this is that but in a local area. It is UGeoguessor. Use your knowledge of the UGA campus to pick out the points from pictures. I am Bret Jones and I made this alone

Inspiration

Geoguessr inspired me to make a game the rewards a CS major because the classes are all over campus. A history major, for example, would not be nearly as knowledgeable with the campus.

What it does

It inspires a new generation of UGA students and provides a lifetime of fun.

How we built it

We, by which I mean me, built it using html, css, and javascript. It took a lot of work to find suitable open sourced resources such as leaflet and mapillary to pull map data from.

Challenges we ran into

Google wanted to charge me money. I don't have money. I had to do all of this alone. It was hard and there was a real time challenge.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I made a fun game. It is genuinely really fun to play and try to spot places.

What we learned

I learned how maps work.

What's next for UGeoguessor

This project is easy to make for other local areas. I can make on for anywhere with relative ease.
