Inspiration
I read a parable about Twins. It made me reflect, smile, and feel a little sad. I felt inspired to create this video to share the story with you.
What it does
This short film retells an allegorical parable about two embryos speaking in the womb, wondering whether life exists after birth. Through their dialogue, we hear echoes of a much older debate — between material knowledge and faith, between doubt and trust in what cannot yet be seen. The film reflects how both perspectives can coexist, offering a gentle metaphor for the timeless question of what lies beyond the limits of our understanding.
How we built it
The entire project was created with AI tools: video generation, character animation, and sound. I approached the film with a minimalistic aesthetic — soft light, calm textures, and gentle pacing — to allow the story itself to breathe and speak.
Challenges we ran into
One of the biggest challenges was achieving consistent likeness between characters, especially while showing them at different stages of growth. I generated countless beautiful images, but only a few truly matched as siblings. And AI does not always understand where an embryo's mouth should be.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I brought a delicate parable into a cinematic format while maintaining a distinct aesthetic style. This was my first film where storytelling, not visuals, was the primary focus.
What we learned
I learned how to craft a narrative-driven, cinematic sequence with emotional clarity and visual consistency. I experimented with different methods of generating the same character while working on the mother.
What's next for Twins
I’m now working on a new film set in our own world — but seen as multidimensional, nonlinear in time, and alive with different layers of energy. I want to reveal the familiar as something vast and strange, shaped by forces we rarely notice. And I use an AI model (LoRA) trained on my own selfies as the main character. Let’s see where this journey leads.
