Inspiration

Arizona's environmental challenges, especially overpumping by commercial wells, sparked our project. We aim to raise awareness and drive sustainable actions in commercial and personal ventures through "Trees Bees & Seas."

What It Does

Our service, Trees Bees & Seas, offers environmental consultations, helping users understand and mitigate their ecological impacts through both short-term and long-term strategies. Our solution aims to enhance environmental friendliness and add value or save money on projects.

How We Built It

  • Frontend: Developed with Flutter & Dart
  • Backend: API built using Flask, Python & SocketIO
  • AI Consultation: Integrated with Google Gemini.

Challenges We Ran Into

  • PDF Manipulation: Initially struggled with PDF generation, resolved using WeasyPrint.
  • Simultaneous Image and Text Assessment in Gemini: Overcome by utilizing Gemini's File API for images and combining them with text in JSON format for seamless processing.

Accomplishments We're Proud Of

  • Successfully tackled significant technical challenges.
  • Refined the app design through three iterations to enhance user experience.
  • Improved code quality with multiple revisions focusing on clarity and robust error handling.

What We Learned

  • We learned a lot about Flutter and its libraries.
  • The project taught us the importance of focus and communication in order to meet tight deadlines and achieving complex technical goals.
