Inspiration

Adventure tourism in Maharashtra is growing rapidly, but discovering and booking activities is still scattered across multiple websites and social media pages. We wanted to create a single platform where travelers can easily explore, compare, and book adventure experiences while giving local operators a modern way to manage their business.

What it does

TrailMitra is a full-stack adventure tourism platform connecting travelers with verified adventure operators across Maharashtra.

Users can:

• Discover trekking, camping, rafting, cycling, and other adventure activities
• Search and filter activities by location, price, difficulty, and category
• View detailed itineraries, pricing, images, and operator information
• Book activities through a seamless booking flow
• Complete payments using a simulated checkout
• Manage bookings and wishlist from a personal dashboard

Operators can:

• Create and manage adventure listings
• Update pricing and availability
• View and manage bookings
• Monitor basic business analytics

How we built it

Challenges we ran into

The biggest challenge was building a complete end-to-end booking experience within a limited time. Creating responsive layouts, managing user roles, integrating maps, designing dashboards, and ensuring a smooth booking flow required careful planning and prioritization.

What we learned

This project strengthened our understanding of full-stack development, authentication, responsive UI design, state management, API integration, database design, and building scalable applications under hackathon constraints.
