Inspirations

In the rural sector, people there are unaware of good medical care unlike in the urban sector, they have smart phones, quick numbers, god network coverage, personal doctors, medicines, etc. So where are rural sectors lacking? In education it is . But we want to do something for Rural people. This help switch can be of a great help in these areas.

What it does

So, we talk about its working. It is a simple integrated pack of switches which has some levels of their priorities like Critical emergency, Accidents, for senior citizens, for disabled, who in need of help can anytime send a SOS signal to Volunteer

Now what is a volunteer and why he is here and what he is doing? . volunteer is a pack/group of people working in social services, NGOs, health hubs. a SOS signal is received by them and they will make contact to the patient and getting information of their situation. Along with it they will be having a complete database with the Hospitals and having every information of availability in the hospitals. they will ask hospitals to send help to the directed area with proper medication. Why the signal isn't send to hospitals directly? hospitals, many times, do not have time or availability to listen to the patient and sending help. This group of volunteer is solving this problem and asking the hospital and proving help according to patients.

How we built it

A micro controller with a wifi module can be worked as a web server and can send signals over a network. Using the same concept, integrating some button with it and wearable that can work with a small battery. A group of volunteer can be set by encouragement. social classes, good payment. by this some employment issues are also get resolved. making a complete network and database of all hospitals and patients will be set by time

Challenges we ran into

Contacting the patients after sending the SOS! how will they contact them? so for now we are sending a mobile number with the click of a button so that volunteer can call them but for more compatibility and efficiency we are going to interface it with a GPS system so that whenever a patient click it, Volunteer will get the location of patient. this can help patients with the critical cases.

What's next for The SOS Switch

This SOS switch can be a basic network for the rural as well as urban areas It is self evolving idea which can make a strong network between the patients and hospitals by a network of middle men i.e. Our Volunteer
