Inspiration
We were inspired to do a shared VR experience because we believe that many current VR experiences are isolating.
What it does
The Brief-Case is a co-operative local multiplayer game that emphasizes teamwork and communication.
How we built it
The back-bone of this project was the Unity game engine and Google's Cardboard API. Those in combination allowed us to make an interactive experience that was connected players in a immersive and accessible way.
Challenges we ran into
Designing the puzzles such that they could be picked up on a first try, and be engaging for both players, while not being too difficult as to bore the players. Another challenge was working with VR and getting used to developing for a different perspective. (For example, the scale of objects can be disorienting if it is not accurate.)
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Having early play testers pick up the game and immediately understand and enjoy the game. While the game only includes only 3 puzzles, those 3 puzzles are very strong and show a large potential for future designs.
