Tekst: Audio To Text Converter

Inspiration

Like many others, I'm tired of annoying voice messages, so I decided to create an app to solve this problem. Although I began working on it at the start of summer, development has been delayed. Ship-a-ton, with its clear deadline, was the perfect motivation to get it done!

What it does

Tekst allows you to transcribe voice messages and memos without leaving the original app. Simply share the message/memo with Tekst, and the transcription will appear in a popup. All transcriptions, along with their details, are stored within the app. It supports over 60 languages.

How we built it

It's a native app built with SwiftUI that uses Apple Speech for audio recognition.

Challenges we ran into

This is my first experience with Apple Speech and my first app written entirely on SwiftUI.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I'm proud to be able to release Tekst on time. And I hope that the app will help others as much as it has helped me.
