My inspiration for building this project was noticing that many people in the United States, specifically labor workers/retail workers, etc, are most of the time not aware how high the standard of living really is once they move there, as a good chunk of the American population work cash jobs. This turns into a huge dilemma, as now their salaries may not be able to provide them enough financially. This inspired me to create Squeeze2Rent, to help more and more people to start becoming more aware of the constant fluctuating rent prices for homes.

Squeeze2Rent calculates the amount of hours of minimum wage one would need to work in order to afford the monthly rent in a certain state, given the average minimum wage in USD of the state, as well as the average rent price in USD of the state, respectively.
