SmartAllergy

Inspiration

Many people are not aware of how sever food-related allergic reactions can be. Because of this, we hope to spread awareness of allergies and inform users how to respond appropriately when an allergic reaction occurs.

What it does

We create short sessions for users to teach users about various food allergy topics and concludes with a brief quiz to assess their knowledge

How we built it

Our UI frames are designed by AdobeXD and AdobeIllustrator, and UI implemented as a web application using NextJs and Typescript hosted via Vercel. The source code is in our github repo.

Challenges we ran into

UI implemetation using pure .png files into a specific aspect ratio was difficult.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The UI design nearly made it same as the final web app product that we expected.

What we learned

We learned that having frequent communication is the way to get the project moving forward faster and more efficient.

What's next for SmartAllergy

We will integrate mobile devices and other food sensitive organizations, institutions and restaurants to implement necessary and useful services to provide a better way and accessible way inform the people with food allergy about the food that these organizations offer.
