Inspiration
We wanted to create a solution to a problem within the hibernation theme. Our solution led us to build an app that allowed us to solve the problem of sleep deprivation.
What it does
Our solution is the mobile application Slumbr that has the capabilities to track the users sleeping habits and improve your sleeping schedule based on data. The user is asked a few questions in the onboarding process to better tailor their in-app experience.
How we built it
Our team began brainstorming together in a shared Google Doc simultaneously to get our ideas out. We began listing our main ideas and then listing possible names for the mobile app. We had had frequent audio communication via Discord and checked in periodically. After we decided on our direction we created a logo & color palette, create a user flow chart, hand-drawn sketches & low fidelity wireframe, high fidelity interface screens, coded prototype, and lastly the presentation deck design.
Challenges we ran into
We had some issues with getting a coded demo to work so we just used a Figma prototype approach
Accomplishments that we're proud of
All in all, we brainstormed on an idea and executed the vision in less than 36 hours. The deliverables we were able to come up with in such a short time are amazing!
What we learned
Hackathons are fun
What's next for Slumbr Mobile App
Hopefully, we can get recognition for more market validation to continue to build out an MVP.
