Sleep deprivation is a common problem among younger generations, especially college students. Most assume a full night of sleep will help you recover from sleep debt(hours you should sleep - hours you slept), however, the case is not always as simple.
The objective of our app, SleepKeeper, is to work with the user in properly recovering from those long nights. We track your sleeping patterns and mood through our basic alarm clock. After a viable amount of time, the app analyzes the data and creates a visualization to show sleeping trends over time.
The last and most important part of our app is the "Sleep Trainer." This function takes the analyzed data and determines 3 things: 1) How much sleep you really need to fully recover 2) the levels of sleep deprivation you experience, on a scale of 1 to 5, with 1 equating to losing 2 or 3 hours of sleep and 5 equating to your body shutting down 3) A personalized plan towards recovery that incorporates your phone by making you accountable (lest you want to experience consequences)
We hope this app will help people that suffer from sleepless nights, and one day incorporate artificial intelligence for the Trainer.
