When we go grocery shopping, it's difficult to find the items we need and end up wandering in circles. As busy CS students, it is important that we don't waste time so finding the most effective route around a grocery store would be beneficial to us.

What it does

With out app, you can create a layout of your grocery store, assigning the entrance, exit, and shelves that are labeled categorically. Then you can create your grocery list, and generate an efficient path that will take you to all the items you need.

How we built it

We built it using Java, XML, and SQLite in Android Studio.

Challenges we ran into

The path searching algorithm was extremely difficult, as we just sorta figured out some crucial bugs 10 minutes before the deadline as I'm scrambling to type this.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I'm proud of the work we were able to accomplish as a team. We made a nice looking UI and got the hardest part of our app to work out too.

What we learned

We learned that it is important to communicate thoroughly about the changes you made, and what is does. A major mistake we had was when there was a mixup between a variable name "n" and what is was supposed to be for between two people.

What's next for shop-circuit

We hope we can continue to develop and improve the graphics on the app as it is quite primitive.
