Inspiration
We wanted to bring something cool and futuristic to kids at an affordable price using cheap components.
How it works
It uses IR proximity sensors to avoid objects, and connects via bluetooth to launch magnetic field powered shooter.
Challenges I ran into
Feedback from running the car on the rug. The voltage would drop, thus affecting the sensor readings.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I was able to make C++ classes for the first time, and come up with many circuit designs to approach this project.
What I learned
Failure is part of success, and you must be patient. I also learned how to make C++ classes, especially for arduino.
What's next for Self-Driving Toy Car
We will add a manual mode in which you can control the car with a controller so that you can switch at convenience.
