What it does

Searches the provided San Diego pedestrian data by month, day, and time to provide the user with the amount of pedestrians who were at the coordinates then.

How we built it

We used Adobe Illustrator for the mockup layout, Adobe Dreamweaver for the HTML and CSS, we created Python code in Cloud9 to sanitize the data, and we used SublimeText for the Javascript and d3.js.

Challenges we ran into

We had issues with node.js; this caused a complete restructuring of our approach and consumed a large amount of our time.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of creating an app from scratch in 24 hours, and being able to organize our ideas and communicate them.

What we learned

When we work on a project in the future, we should agree on frameworks before starting.

What's next for San Diego Pedestrian Statistics

San Diego Pedestrian Statistics can be used by different municipalities that have pedestrian statistics, and could incorporate vehicle data as well.
