S.A.F.E. was inspired by a simple but important problem: when an emergency happens, knowing that something is happening is not always enough — the right people need to receive the right information quickly.

On university campuses, incidents can be reported through WhatsApp groups, phone calls, personal messages, word of mouth, or directly to security personnel. These channels are useful, but they are fragmented. Important information can be difficult to track, incidents can be missed, and responders may not have a centralized view of what is happening.

As a Computer Science student, I wanted to explore how software could improve this process.

The idea became S.A.F.E. (Smart Alert and Field Emergency System) — a platform designed to bring emergency reporting, incident monitoring, location information, and intelligent prioritization into one system.

What We Built

S.A.F.E. is designed as an emergency intelligence and response platform for universities and other managed communities.

The platform includes:

• Emergency and incident reporting
• SOS alerts
• Location-aware incident information
• Real-time alert communication
• Centralized incident monitoring
• AI-assisted incident triage
• AI-powered hotspot intelligence
• A foundation for coordinating institutional responses

The goal is not simply to create another emergency reporting form. S.A.F.E. connects the reporting → triage → monitoring → response → intelligence process.

A student can report an incident, relevant information can be captured and made visible to authorized personnel, and the resulting data can help institutions understand both individual incidents and broader safety patterns.
