Inspiration
Taking medicines from time to time is one of the most important activities which fall under everyday tasks and people suffering from Alzheimer’s tend to forget their medications, as their brain loses stability. Tending to forget their regular medications will not only affect them physically but also mentally and thus a personal assistant in the form of a pill dispenser will be introduced to them which will help them recall their medicines and live an independent life with RECALL.
What it does
The pill dispenser would have compartments for different medicines, with each compartment having a number. The medicines would be set up in the application according to the compartment numbers by the technical help and the application would send signals to the dispenser when its time for medicines. A buzzer would ring when it is time for medicines until the user puts his/her hand beneath, for a sensor to sense the hand and send the medicines out based on the time. The dispenser would be connected with the phone via bluetooth and everything would work based on the updates made by the hospitals via the technical help in the application. This would help them to take medications without fail. Notifications would be sent to the nearest pharmacy if the compartments run out of medicines and it needs to be refilled.
How we built it

Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of coming up with an idea to help elderly patients, especially ones with Alzheimer's. They will benefit the most from the project since it will greatly increase their medication adherence which will ensure a more suitable treatment cogency or even save their lives. Insurance companies will surely benefit from RECALL since it will help their customers to live a healthier lifestyle away from life-threatening accidents caused by forgetting to take their medicines on time or with the right dosage
What's next for Recall
The medicine box can be accompanied by a wearable device and a smart lock system. The wearable device would help them keep a track of their health vitals and upload it to the cloud which would help the doctors for diagnosis in future. In case of abnormalities, the ambulance would be informed via a text message from the database..
