Inspiration
Ramuan is inspired by the traditional Indonesian habit of drinking jamu, which improves health. Along with other herbal foods and beverages that are regarded as traditional medicine, jamu is well known for its health advantages. Our team decided to take on this challenge to support the health sustainable development goals to improve people's quality of life in an accessible way, taking into account how traditional medicine is highly preferred by people but there hasn't been a platform that really utilizes this to increase the quality of life.
What it does
Ramuan is fostering literacy and accessibility of traditional medicine based on a person's physical and mental needs in order to assist people in accessing more affordable health care through 3 features (Diagnose, Learn, and Consultation)
How we built it
We begin by examining the health needs of Indonesian individuals. We discovered how important health accessibility is to both global and local strategy, and we moved on to discovered what makes health inaccessible, which is the a significant socioeconomic disparity. We find it intriguing that this research relates to our inspiration of behavior in drinking jamu. Considering that traditional medications also improve health quality in a much more affordable cost. As a result, research is still being done on ways to improve health accessibility through traditional medicine.
Challenges we ran into
Finding the detailed data of traditional herbs such as uses, side effect, precaution, warning, interaction, and recipes.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Fully created Ramuan design prototype and We hope Ramuan can be realized in Indonesia.
What we learned
Indonesia has a rich resource especially in herbs and it is already embedded in our daily life.
What's next for Ramuan
We would do more research and trying to realized Ramuan for Indonesia.
