[3.4.1]

Content was running underneath the system bars and hard against the edge of the screen. Every layout carried android:fitsSystemWindows="true" and it was inert: from targetSdk 35 Android draws apps edge-to-edge and stops honouring that attribute on ordinary containers - it only ever worked on inset-aware layouts such as DrawerLayout. ENTITY's screens are plain LinearLayouts, so they got no inset padding at all.

Fixed

  • Window-inset handling on every screen (Insets.kt), derived from system bars and display cutout, so nothing sits under the status bar, navigation bar or camera cutout.
  • Insets add to each layout's declared padding rather than replacing it, so screens keep their own gutters.
  • Padding goes on containers, so lists still scroll under the bars without content resting there.
  • The chat input row takes the navigation-bar and IME insets directly, so it rises with the keyboard.
