Update for Judges — Please Read This Note Last

Since submitting the initial version of Prepify AI, significant improvements have been made to the platform. This note supersedes any earlier comments regarding file upload issues.

What's Changed

The note input experience has been intentionally redesigned around a paste-first workflow. The file upload button remains visible but now displays a "Coming Soon" message directing students to paste their content directly — this was a deliberate design decision to ensure a completely seamless, error-free experience for every user, rather than relying on a document processing pipeline still being finalised.

In addition, several new features have been added that significantly strengthen the platform's STEM focus:

  • Mathematical formulas now render as proper notation (via KaTeX) throughout AI summaries, the Formulas tab, and chat responses — no more raw LaTeX text
  • Every note now generates an interactive Concept Map, visualising AI-extracted key concepts as a connected knowledge graph
  • Notes are automatically classified by STEM subject (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science) with colour-coded badges
  • The AI Chat Assistant now supports Step-by-Step Solver mode — ask it to "solve step by step" and it breaks down problems into clearly numbered, properly formatted solutions

How to Test Prepify AI

  1. Log in and navigate to the Notes page
  2. Click "Add Note", give it a title, and paste any STEM content — lecture notes, a calculus topic, a biology passage, or code notes
  3. Once processed, explore the note's tabs: AI Summary, Formulas (rendered with proper notation), and Concept Map
  4. Click "Quiz" to generate an adaptive quiz from the note
  5. Click "Chat" and ask a question about the content — then try asking it to "solve this step by step" for a maths-related question
  6. Visit the Study Scheduler, Risk Predictor, and Calendar to explore the wider planning system

Every feature listed above is live, functional, and powered by the OpenAI API (with Gemini as automatic fallback) on the deployed URL right now.

Thank you for taking the time to evaluate Prepify AI — and for your patience as the platform has continued to improve throughout the submission period.
