PACTI Pathway Agent: From career exploration to a practical next step
PACTI Pathway Agent has evolved into a working prototype that turns participant information into a structured starting point for career exploration.
The current version generates:
• Five career-fit hypotheses with explanations
• A four-week action plan
• Five questions to discuss with a mentor
• A saved plan participants can revisit
Built using NVIDIA Nemotron through Nebius Token Factory, the agent distinguishes AI-generated recommendations from supported O*NET occupational facts. Recommendations are labeled for mentor review—possibilities to investigate, rather than definitive judgments about someone’s future.
We’ve also added sign-in controls, usage limits and output checks. The prototype’s automated test suite currently includes 69 passing tests.
Next: gather feedback from learners and mentors, strengthen recommendation quality, and prepare the model migration needed to keep the demo available.
Our goal remains practical: help young people move from “What could I do?” toward a next step they can discuss, test and take.
