I built a new Google Workspace MCP for OpenAssist using GPT‑5.6‑Sol, and it has already changed how I work.
Recently, I was reviewing emails about OpenAI DevDay travel. Instead of switching between Gmail, Calendar and Google Tasks, I asked the assistant to organize everything. It turned the travel details into a complete PTO plan and created the task for me—all from the same conversation.
OpenAssist Workspace can:
- Connect multiple Google accounts
- Search and summarize Gmail
- Manage Google Calendar events
- Create and organize Google Tasks
- Build backlogs with virtual tags and projects
- Create searchable Google Docs notes
- Work from ChatGPT or Claude
- Ask for confirmation before sensitive actions
The game changer is not simply connecting Google apps. It lets an AI agent understand information from one service and take the next useful action in another.
Email → task → calendar → project note, without constantly switching apps.

The public ChatGPT listing is currently going through review. Until it becomes publicly available, supported users can connect the remote MCP endpoint manually in ChatGPT developer mode or as a custom Claude connector.
