Inspiration
We wanted to explore the fascinating behind the bold Marimekko patterns.
What it does
The application takes you through Marimekkos manufacturing process while at the same time engaging you with minigames about the different manufacturing stages which will help you to get to know and appreciate the effort that goes into the production of the Marimekko prints.
How we built it
Using the Unity engine we have built a small demo giving an example of one of the many possible minigames.
Challenges we ran into
At the beginning the concept was very broad so it was challenging to succesfully narrow it down to the necessary core features for a clear presentation.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Through our excellent teamwork we managed to get work done within the challenging time frame.
What we learned
We learned some excellent insights about Marimekkos manufacturing and we believe that we managed to use this information to better define our project.
What's next for NanoSpark designathon
To hopefully enter into discussions with Marimekko about developing the concept further.
