Street harassment affects 81% of women worldwide. This cold statistic hides a much darker reality: millions of women who alter their routes, avoid certain streets, come home earlier, or live in constant fear of being followed.

After hearing countless stories from friends who were victims of harassment - from persistent stares to nighttime pursuits, including that paralyzing anxiety of feeling watched and vulnerable - I realized that traditional solutions were no longer sufficient.

Call the police? 15 minutes minimum wait time, often too late.

Classic emergency apps? Cold, impersonal, without real human presence.

Self-defense? Not accessible to everyone, and insufficient against psychological intimidation.

These women needed only one thing: to know they are not alone. That a few meters away from them, there's someone caring ready to help, someone who can transform a threatening street into a safe space.

That's when the idea of MyGuardianAngels was born: what if we transformed every caring person into a guardian angel? What if, in 2-3 minutes, a woman in danger could have by her side a reassuring presence, someone who pretends to know her to make the aggressor flee?

Technology could finally create what humanity has always treasured most: community solidarity.

Instant Community Alerts

With a simple gesture, users can alert nearby Guardian Angels in case of harassment or uncomfortable situations. The alert contains precise location and profile photo for easy identification.

Ultra-Realistic Fake Calls with Hidden Emergency Functions

The app instantly simulates an incoming call with customizable ringtones and authentic call interface.

Revolutionary hidden feature: The "Keyboard", "Microphone", "Speaker", and "More" buttons each hide different emergency numbers:

  • For Community Alerts: Each button can contact specific emergency contacts (family, friends) for discreet communication
  • For Police Alerts: These same buttons trigger pre-recorded emergency voice messages
  • Dual Purpose: During fake calls, users can make REAL discreet calls while waiting for Guardian Angels

Smart Police Emergency Calls
In case of imminent danger:

  • Automatic call to country-specific police number (geographically adapted)
  • Pre-recorded voice message in 6 languages ​​(French, English, Italian, German, Spanish and Japanese)
  • Automatic location transmission
  • Message: "Hello, I'm using MyGuardian Angels emergency app. I'm currently in danger and cannot speak freely as the threatening person is present. If you can hear me, please ask simple YES or NO questions."

Anti-Coercion Protection

  • Security PIN code (1234 for demo) protects any alert cancellation

Protection Against Infiltrated Aggressors Recognizing that potential aggressors might download the app to identify targets or Guardian Angels, we've implemented advanced privacy protection:

  • Anonymous Community View: In the community proximity list, Guardian Angels appear only as shield icons with pseudonyms and star ratings - no photos or real identities visible
  • Smart Distance Range: Alerts are sent within a 15-meter to 1-mile (1.6km) radius, preventing aggressors from pinpointing exact locations or identifying who triggered the alert
  • Selective Photo Visibility: Profile photos are only revealed to verified Guardian Angels who accept a mission, ensuring identification for help while maintaining general anonymity
  • Dual Pseudonym System: Community pseudonyms differ from intervention pseudonyms, adding an extra layer of protection against real-world recognition
