Inspiration
During visiting kabaa, whether performing Hajj or Umrah, I've always looked for more duaa to recite while looking at those holy places.
What it does
Our application determines where the user is and shows suitable duaa according to the display method chosen by the user (Audio/Text), no matter where he/she is. Using the mobile camera, the user can point it to known landmarks and according to that suitable duaa is played/displayed.
How we built it
We used unity3d game engine, and AR unity plugin to design the application itself. Regarding the database that stores the images used to detect landmarks, we used vuforia.
Challenges we ran into
First time to use AR. Tailoring our idea. Finding resources.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
started detecting some of the holy places by mobile camera, stored some of the data needed to the vuforia database.
What we learned
Using new technologies to solve some of modern day problems.
