Inspiration

A mere 8 years ago the 2008 stock market downturn changed the face of the United States. If only someone would have been listening to the sound of the music, this could have all been avoided. Meet MuseTics.

What it does

MuseTics is a Java App that analyzes historical stock data and translates the information into a reflective musical composition.

How we built it

Through the use of Java, Processing (Java), JavaFX, J Music, Blood, Sweat, and Tears, we built MuseTics.

Challenges we ran into

At one point Alana literally ran into a trash can and around 3 am Connor fell off our severely deflated air mattress. We also accidentally spent over an hour in a rural Pennsylvania truck stop, delaying our ETA to Bitcamp.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Connor and Sam were able to showcase their unique and enviable Java skills, while Madhur and Alana came up with some slick branding using Illustrator and Sketch respectively. Chris helped with data acquisition.

What we learned

We had our first experience with JMusic.

What's next for MuseTics

Our exit strategy would be a merger with Pied Piper, another leading tech company.
