Inspiration

Moving requires updating dozens of disconnected accounts while also planning trucks, movers, timing, and cost. We wanted one agent to make sure nothing important is forgotten.

What it does

Moving-Day Autopilot discovers move-relevant accounts from Gmail or uploaded bills, filters irrelevant subscriptions, and builds a personalized address-change plan. It also calculates route distance, inventory volume, truck size, labor, moving cost, official provider actions, and progress.

How we built it

We used the Strands Agents SDK with Amazon Nova on Amazon Bedrock, hosted in Bedrock AgentCore Runtime. The app combines 11 typed tools, read-only Gmail OAuth, Vercel OIDC, provider catalogs, Census/OpenStreetMap routing, deterministic cost calculations, and vector PDF reports.

Challenges we ran into

Real provider APIs are rarely public, bills use inconsistent formats, and important account details may appear only in email text or attachments. We also had to separate genuine guided workflows from sandbox automation and protect Gmail data with strict read-only access.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The agent discovers and confirms real accounts, creates actionable provider handoffs, calculates the physical move, and produces a personalized PDF plan. Our sandbox also demonstrates bounded autonomous execution with human decisions and identity safeguards.

What we learned

AI works best as an orchestrator, not as the source of truth. Nova handles unstructured evidence and planning, while deterministic tools perform calculations, validation, state changes, and verification.

What's next for Moving-Day Autopilot

Next, we will add AgentCore Browser assistance to navigate and prefill provider forms while keeping login, MFA, CAPTCHA, and final submission under user control. We also plan live truck and mover quotes, broader provider coverage, and confirmation-email verification.
