Inspiration
Memories are precious. You deserve to have a journal that can follow you along in life no matter where you visit and where you go!
What it does
Waypoints allows you to keep track of your favourite places privately by placing pins on an open-source map. Click anywhere on the map. Waypoints will prompt you to enter the name of the place, the type of location, your rating of the place, and any notes you want to make. You can even upload a picture to fully describe the experience. As well, you can create your own categories and look for your pins using a search bar.
How we built it
We built the website using JavaScript, and styled it with CSS and HTML. We used Leaflet for the open-source map API.
Challenges we ran into
We had to selectively choose features to add to our website to retain minimalism while still maintaining functionality.
What's next for Waypoints
We will implement responsive web design principles so that it is mobile-friendly.
