An unexpected Shipathon development

One unexpected part of building and launching ManagerGym has now followed the project back to Shipathon itself.

After ManagerGym was already publicly launched, published on the App Store and Google Play, and documented here throughout its development, I discovered another app using the ManagerGym name and operating in the same leadership-conversation practice space.

That app has now also been submitted to RevenueCat Shipaton 2026 under the same ManagerGym name.

I have preserved the relevant publication dates, marketplace listings, development history, and supporting evidence, and I have already raised the appropriate marketplace concerns separately.

I’m not going to turn this project page into a dispute. I want the work, history, and evolution of ManagerGym documented here to speak for themselves.

For me, this has become another unexpected lesson in taking a software product from idea to production:

Shipping is only part of building a real product. You also have to protect its identity, document its history, and keep differentiating it after launch.

ManagerGym continues forward with the same mission it started with:

Practice the conversations leadership requires.
