The inspiration behind SpinSense came from a simple observation.
Every day, people spend more time deciding than actually doing.
Whether it's choosing a restaurant, finding a gift, planning a weekend activity, or deciding where to shop, we are surrounded by endless options. Ironically, having more choices often makes decision-making harder.
As university students, we noticed that whenever friends met at a mall or food court, the same conversation happened repeatedly:
"What do you want to eat?"
"Anything."
"No, you choose."
What should be a two-minute decision often becomes a twenty-minute discussion.
We realised that most recommendation platforms focus on giving users more information and more options. However, the real problem is not discovering options—it is making a decision.
This led us to create SpinSense.
Instead of functioning as another recommendation platform, SpinSense acts as a Decision Wallet. It combines location awareness, spending preferences, and gamified decision-making to help users confidently choose where to eat, shop, or spend their time.
Our vision is to reduce everyday decision fatigue and allow people to spend less time deciding and more time enjoying their experiences.
