Inspiration

Talent buyers at 200 to 2,000 capacity rooms and small festivals make the same bet every week: will this crowd come out for this act? Big promoters have analytics teams and ticket history. A small venue has the booker's gut, a few streaming charts, and maybe last year's settlement sheets.

Most tools in this space start from an artist and show where that artist's listeners are. A booker's job runs the other way. They start from a room in a neighborhood, with a crowd that already turned up for certain headliners, and they need to know who else that crowd likes. Qloo's taste graph links music to brands, places and audience demographics, so it can answer that venue-first question, and it can also answer the next ones a small venue cares about: which local brands might sponsor the night, and which bars or record stores to partner with.

What it does

Lineup Architect is an agent that turns a venue into a booking shortlist and a pitch in one run.

  1. Pick a room. Choose one of five preset venues (Detroit 650-cap, Austin 350, Brooklyn 500, Nashville 250, London 220) or enter your own: name, city, capacity and one to three acts that did well there. No login.
  2. Watch the agent work: The agent plans and calls Qloo tools, and each step streams in as it happens: resolving the headliners, reading the room's sound, ranking acts, mapping the city, profiling the crowd, shortlisting sponsors, writing the pitch. 3.Get the answer first: When the run finishes, the results open as tabs: Line up & pitch Compare Crowd map Audience Sponsors How the agent worked. ## How we built it Next.js 16 (App Router) and TypeScript on Vercel. React UI with Leaflet and OpenStreetMap tiles for the map. Agent steps stream from a server route (POST /api/agent) as NDJSON. ## Challenges we ran into Popularity is top-heavy: The headliners of our preset venues sit between 0.47 and 0.997 Qloo popularity, so a simple capacity to popularity mapping marked nearly every act as fitting a 220-cap room. I retuned the room tiers on live data, added the "stretch pick" tier, and made the agent revert band changes that don't change the list ## Accomplishments that we're proud of

What we learned

What's next for Lineup Architect

An editable pitch, with a choice of reader (venue owner, promoter partner, artist agent) and export to email and Word. A sponsor deck: the audience profile and local brand matches packaged as a one-page sponsorship pitch, the part of this most likely to be worth paying for. Saved venues and runs, so a booker can compare this month's shortlist with last month's. Let a venue add its own past-show results to calibrate the size ranges, while keeping the app free of ticket forecasts unless that data is there.
