Friendly San Francisco - Pairing tourists with locals!

Inspiration

As a frequent traveler, I like to see a city through the lens of a local friend! Also, when new people arrive to my city, I like to show them some of the hidden gems!

What it does

LetzC is a community based web platform that pairs up tourists and locals with other city dwellers. Together, they explore the richness that San Francisco has to offer. LetzC also allows small business owners and artists to pair with people that are interested in their unique work. Unlike Peeple, which is Yelp for people, LetzC understands that each person has a different experience with other people. So, instead, LetzC looks at user's friends for testimonials and vouches. At a very high level, our smart algorithm will suggest pair ups based on interests, demography, geography, family/single status.

Tight deadline and still made responsive design! 2,080 lines of code in less than 24 hours!

What's next for LetzC

  • In order to make a truly diverse and welcoming city, a product like LetzC should be adopted in every major community. Friendly societies reduce violence, boost local commerce, and make societies a better place to live in!
