Inspiration
The inspiration for Learn2Earn came from the education system in Kazakhstan, where students can earn 10 points in class and receive 100 bonuses from Halyk Bank that can later be spent anywhere. I thought this idea was powerful because it connects studying with real-life rewards, and I wanted to expand this concept into a full platform that motivates students to learn while also giving them something tangible in return.
What it does
Learn2earn is an educational app that helps students stay motivated while learning. The idea is simple: as you complete lessons and quizzes, you earn points that can be exchanged for rewards connected to studying. This way, learning becomes more engaging and feels rewarding beyond just grades.
How i built it
I built this project completely on my own, starting from the idea and design to the actual demo. First, I created a simple structure: a home page, a lessons section, quizzes, and resources. Then I added the motivational part – points and rewards. I tried to keep the app clear and not overloaded, so it would be easy to use. I paid a lot of attention to balance, it had to be simple enough for anyone to understand, but at the same time engaging enough to motivate students to keep going.
Challenges i ran into
One of the main challenges I faced was making the buttons and interactions work the way I wanted. At first, it was difficult to connect the logic behind them so that they would respond properly. Another challenge was the design — I wanted it to look clean and simple, but it wasn’t easy to balance functionality with appearance. Not everything ended up working perfectly, but I still managed to build the basic structure and make the app usable enough to demonstrate the idea.
Accomplishments that I’m proud of
I’m proud that I managed to turn an idea into a working demo completely on my own. I didn’t just stop at the design – I built the logic behind lessons, quizzes, and rewards, which shows how the app can actually work. For me, it’s a big accomplishment because I had to figure out everything by myself, and now I can see the result: an app that makes education more engaging and motivating.
What i learned
Through this project, I learned how important it is to stay persistent and not get discouraged by mistakes. Every error gave me a better understanding of how interfaces work and how to simplify the user experience. I also realized that accessibility often comes from simple, thoughtful design choices. Overall, this project taught me to pay more attention to details and to approach problems with patience and creativity
What's next for Learn2earn
I want to keep improving the app: add more lessons, diversify the rewards system, and maybe introduce interactive challenges between students. The main goal is to make it even more engaging and helpful for learners, so that education doesn’t feel like a burden but something that gives both knowledge and motivation.
