Inspiration
With Bangladesh set to graduate from LDC status in 2026, exporters face a daunting reality: the loss of duty-free access and the introduction of a standard 19% reciprocal tariff. We realized that traditional logistics systems are ill-equipped for this shift. We were inspired to build an "AI Command Center" that doesn't just track boxes, but protects profit margins by auditing trade compliance in real-time.
What it does
Lead-Time Guardian is a multi-agent AI system that secures the global supply chain.
Automated Audit: It scans commercial invoices to detect fraud and mathematical errors (e.g., identifying a $4,500 mismatch in a $94,500 shipment).
Tariff Hedging: It identifies preferential rules of origin. For example, by detecting "USA Organic Cotton" in a description, it automatically switches the tax logic from a 19% duty to 0%, saving thousands of dollars per shipment.
Resilient Logistics: Integrated with Tavily AI and real-time trackers, it monitors road delays (Sylhet-Chittagong) and port strikes, suggesting "Winning Moves" like rerouting to Mongla Port or optimized night-dispatching to bypass traffic.
How we built it
Intelligence: Powered by Gemini 3 Flash for complex multi-agent auditing and fraud detection.
Web Intelligence: Used Tavily AI Search to get real-time news on port strikes and global weather risks.
Frontend & Realtime: Built with Next.js 14 and Supabase, ensuring a seamless, real-time "Command Center" dashboard experience.
Audit Logic: Implemented a rule-based engine combined with LLM reasoning to handle 2026 trade frameworks.
Challenges we ran into
Integrating real-time logistics APIs while simultaneously running complex financial audits was a hurdle. We also faced the challenge of translating dense 2026 trade policy documents into executable AI logic. However, by using a multi-agent swarm architecture, we managed to separate the "compliance auditor" agent from the "logistics" agent for better accuracy.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are incredibly proud of our Math Integrity Engine. Seeing the AI successfully catch an intentional $4,500 discrepancy in a stress-test invoice—effectively preventing financial leakage—was our "Eureka" moment. We also achieved a system that can suggest strategic sourcing (like using US-origin materials) to flip a -5% compliance gap into a +14% net profit margin.
What we learned
We learned that in the future of trade, data is the most valuable cargo. Understanding the nuances of reciprocal tariffs and REX compliance showed us that AI can be more than a helper; it can be a strategic CFO and Logistics Director rolled into one.
What's next for Lead_Time_Guardian
Our next step is to integrate Blockchain-based Bill of Lading verification to eliminate paper-trail fraud entirely. We also plan to scale the system for GSP+ compliance, helping more exporters navigate the complex transition of post-LDC graduation global trade.
