Inspiration

-Asian Lanterns (specifically Chinese)

What it does

-A lantern intended to be usable once the correct light is added to it

How we built it

We created the pieces in adobe illustrator and then cut some of the parts with x-acto knives and hot glued them.

Challenges we ran into

Time was definitely a challenge especially since the laser cutter was in high demand

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are very happy with how clean and neat we made our model and how nice the pattern on the outside of the lantern ended up.

What we learned

How to create clean protypes on a time crunch and how to come up with ideas efficiently.

What's next for Lantern Protype

We were thinking of adding a control panel for lights and cutting a hole to allow a light to be more easily added to it.
