🌱 The Inspiration
Lalla Horti was born from 20 years of experience in horticulture, sustainable plant production, training, and support for farmers. In the field, I observed that many producers have limited means to quickly access reliable technical expertise. Water scarcity, crop diseases, soil degradation, and the effects of climate change are making agricultural decisions increasingly complex.
This reality inspired us to create a solution that brings technology closer to the farmer, rather than asking the farmer to adapt to complex technology.

💡 Our Solution
We are developing the Lalla Horti Intelligent Mobile Kit, a field-based solution combining:
- Artificial intelligence to assist with crop diagnosis and decision-making;
- Connected sensors to measure essential parameters such as humidity, pH, and conductivity;
- Accessible digital tools, including solutions adapted to users with limited Internet connectivity;
- Human expertise and agricultural advisory services;
- Training in agroecology to promote more productive and sustainable practices.
The objective is simple: to enable the farmer to measure, understand, and act at the right time.
🔎 What We Have Learned:
Our training and support experiences have shown us that farmers are primarily looking for simple, practical, affordable solutions that can be directly applied on their farms.
We have also learned that technology alone is not enough. To be truly adopted, it must be accompanied by human expertise, training, and close follow-up.
These lessons have led us to prioritize a model combining technology + support + agroecology.
🛠️ How We Built the Project:
The project was progressively built based on needs observed in the field. We started with our expertise in plant production and agricultural advisory services, then progressively integrated digital tools, sensors, and artificial intelligence.
We are developing the Kit as a mobile and modular solution, capable of evolving according to the needs of farms and the crops being monitored.
Our approach is based on one principle: test in the field, collect user feedback, and continuously improve the solution.
🚧 Challenges Encountered:
The main challenge is to make advanced technologies accessible to farmers, particularly in rural areas where connectivity and financial resources may be limited.
We also have to address challenges related to the integration of different equipment, the collection of reliable data, and the adaptation of artificial intelligence to local agricultural realities.
Rather than considering these difficulties as obstacles, we use them as opportunities for improvement and innovation.
🌍 Our Ambition:
With Lalla Horti, we want to contribute to a smarter, more inclusive, and resilient agriculture, where every farmer can access quality expertise and make better decisions through data.
Our ambition is to make the Intelligent Mobile Kit a true local agricultural assistant, capable of supporting producers in their transition toward more productive and sustainable agriculture.
