Kushal Ring is live: an AI check-in for elders, built on Ring Kushal Ring is now up and running, and I wanted to share where it stands.
What it does
Kushal watches Ring events and learns what a normal day looks like for an elder. Families get:
- A daily wellbeing digest in plain language
- Anomaly flags when something looks unusual, like a missed routine or long inactivity
- A simple dashboard to see how things have been over time
What's working now
- FastAPI backend that ingests events and builds a daily baseline
- Next.js dashboard for digests, flags and history
- Open source: github.com/SkjOO5/Kushal_Ring
What I'm working on next
- Smarter per-person baselines and weekly trends
- Fewer false alarms with better alert logic
- A public hosted version anyone can use
Feedback and ideas are very welcome. If you have parents or grandparents living alone, what would you want a tool like this to tell you?
