Inspiration

The inspiration behind Krynket Miles came from a simple thought: What if people could enjoy a road trip without worrying about owning a vehicle or driving themselves?

People often want to escape their daily routines, experience peaceful sunrise drives, explore scenic roads, plan spontaneous night outings or spend quality time with friends and family. However, arranging a suitable vehicle and a reliable driver for such experiences can be inconvenient.

Traditional ride-hailing platforms primarily focus on travelling from one location to another. We envisioned something different: a platform where the journey itself becomes the destination.

That's how Krynket Miles was born.

What We Built

Krynket Miles is an AI-powered leisure mobility platform designed to make every journey flexible, accessible and safer.

Unlike conventional cab-booking platforms, Krynket Miles offers two booking experiences:

1. Vehicle + Professional Driver: Book a suitable vehicle along with a verified professional driver for a customised leisure journey.
2. My Car + Professional Driver: Hire a professional driver to drive your own vehicle when you want to relax and enjoy the journey.

Our platform focuses on making road trips, scenic escapes, sunrise and sunset experiences, and spontaneous outings easier to plan.

• Interactive Journey Maps: Visualise routes, discover interesting stops and explore nearby attractions.
• Group Trip Planner: Collaborate with friends and family, plan stops and manage shared trip budgets.
• Driver Ecosystem: Dedicated driver and vehicle-owner dashboards for managing profiles, availability, bookings and earnings.

How We Built It

We approached Krynket Miles as a complete mobility ecosystem rather than just a vehicle-booking website.

We focused on creating an intuitive and premium user experience, connecting the customer booking journey with driver and vehicle management workflows.

Our planned technology stack includes React, Vite, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Framer Motion, Node.js and Supabase with PostgreSQL.

We designed the application around modular components, role-based experiences and a scalable database architecture. AI-powered journey planning and mapping integrations form an important part of our product vision.

For prototype demonstrations, simulated GPS tracking, verification workflows and emergency alerts are clearly distinguished from real-world integrations.

Challenges We Faced

Building Krynket Miles involved several important challenges:

1. Creating a Different Mobility Experience: We wanted to move beyond traditional point-to-point transportation and design a platform focused on leisure journeys and experiences.

2. Supporting Two Booking Models: Designing a seamless experience for both vehicle-plus-driver bookings and driver-only bookings required different workflows and pricing structures.

3. Safety and Trust: Long drives, flexible routes and unfamiliar destinations introduce additional safety concerns. We incorporated verification workflows, trip sharing, route monitoring concepts and emergency assistance into the product architecture.

4. Intelligent Pricing: Estimating costs for journeys with flexible durations, multiple stops and varying distances required a transparent and adaptable pricing approach.

5. Connecting Multiple Systems: Bringing together AI trip planning, maps, booking management, driver availability and customer experiences into one cohesive platform was another major challenge.

What We Learned

Through this project, we learned that building a useful mobility product involves much more than developing a booking interface.

We explored user-centred product design, marketplace architecture, AI-assisted personalisation, mapping integrations, role-based application workflows and safety-conscious product development.

Most importantly, we learned to approach innovation by identifying an overlooked user experience and designing a solution around real-world needs.

Our Vision

We envision Krynket Miles becoming more than a mobility marketplace.

We want it to become a destination for people who love exploring, discovering new places and making memories along the way.

Because sometimes, people don't need a destination. They just need a reason to take the road.
