The Problem
Many companies are left with the challenge of keeping their business during the covid19-crisis. They are no longer able to afford the fixed costs and are faced with bankruptcy. Our favorite shops, that are built and led with heart and soul, are severely hit by the covid19-crisis. We aim to help and connect!
Our Idea
Therefore, we provide a responsive web-app as a platform that enables shops and companies, that are endangered, to come together with their regular customers. Moreover, we offer the possibility of connection between shops and companies to support each other. It is the overall interest of society to keep companies and shops with restricted liquidity in the current crisis. It is possible to realize this purpose with our application using vouchers, donations or (micro) loans. Thus, the financial support should be carried out with the help of common online payment systems. Consequently, we can guarantee the liquidity of our local shops and companies during the covid19-crisis. The customers can use their “advance” after the crisis is (hopefully) over.

"KeepTheBusiness : We stay at home – you in business" The covid19-crisis has obviously given grounds for the development of the platform, but it should be maintained apart from that. That is the reason why we kept the design autonomous and chose the name accordingly. The logo represents the selfless thought of helping each other in times of need. We are still thinking about adding an appropriate symbol between the hands, so that the logo differs from others and becomes more specific.
Target Group
Our target group is all companies and shops that are confronted with liquidity burdens and thus endangered by bankruptcy during the covid19-crisis.
Functions and Application
An integrated function of map searching shows all shops and companies nearby, that are registered in our platform
The companies and shops can present themselves via a profile that comprises the necessary information about their current situation. Photos create transparency for the customer. Especially regulars can surely identify this way that the profile belongs to the real shop. During the registration information such as requirement of financing, options of support and payment, that later become part of the profile, too, have to be given.
Customers can select the way of their support that corresponds to the concept of the shop, that is individually chosen by the company itself. An example is the sale of vouchers. You can choose the limit per redemption as well as the period of validity. It is also possible to donate one’s purchase or voucher to persons in need or as a type of promotional measure to one’s favorite shop. Another option is the takings of donations or (micro) loans from individual persons, communities or companies. In addition, orders can be placed for delivery or picking up, as long as it is legal by law. At this point, cooperation with delivery services could also take place.
A chat function enables the sending of private messages. This will hopefully encourage them to come through the crisis. Moreover, the business account on the app can be shared on social media platforms as well. Another point is that there will be a forum where company owners can share strategies and experiences concerning different categories among themselves and thus support each other. This function can also provide connection in future situations.
With the help of the forum information and tips about different categories could be demonstrated, for example PR-strategies, events, information about loans and government aids. Also, a list of potential cooperative delivery services could be installed.
Karma-point-feature: Each private person, that contributes via donation or else, could be credited with “karma points” for his or her good deed. The number of the karma points could correspond to the amount of the donation. For example, the collection of karma points that takes place in this time of crisis could be honored in a café, that is a member of the app, with a coffee or else when the crisis is over. I think that each human being in general sees the necessity to support companies in such critical times. But I have also the opinion that such an application could be an additional incentive, metaphorically speaking the cherry on the icing.
Spreading
Especially company and shop owners have a great responsibility concerning the promotion of the application, for it is also their matter to receive and to give collectively financial support in difficult times. Locations as the shop itself, supermarkets and public means of transport can be of perfect use as advertising space for flyers. As long as there is no lockdown, customers could also be addressed directly
