Inspiration
As Haj lose the sense of directions and Haj deaths outside hospitals are large numbers every year, we focused on making medical and directions guide help request even easier. This can be done with a click of a button and with the use of NFC RFID technology.
Existing Code and used APIs
We have used Google maps api and ionic NFC api for communicating with NFC tags.
What it does
In an ideal case, Haj with a NFC bracelet reaches to the nearest help station (Help stations should be distributed overall Haram Area, Arafat, Mozdalifah and Mina).
How we built it
We have discussed how we can make the design intuitive to the low and non-educated Haj. The design has been completed in parallel with starting development for NFC reading. Then added Google maps location services. After design finished, we started to build app pages one by one and test functionality.
Challenges we ran into
We have faced some difficulties reading NFC cards especially when using hybrid mobile app development tool like ionic.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are able to identify the Haj from the read bracelet, Get his medical record based on the ID, and send help request through SMS.
